2025 Summer Walking Program
May 30 kicks off the 21st year of the Summer Walking Program! We are excited for you to see what we have in store! The program will provide you with opportunities to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and visit new places.
This program encourages participants to establish a healthy walking habit by tracking the extra steps taken each day. We also want you to reap the benefits of improving your mood by spending time outdoors! Earn toe tokens, a t-shirt, and win giveaways by completing milestones throughout your journey. You can pick up your tracker starting May 22.

The Summer Walking Program ends on August 8, and if you have completed the required 30 hours of walking, return your tracker to the Tuscarawas County Extension office by the August 12 deadline and you will be able to receive a t-shirt on September 10. If you are mailing your tracker, please be sure to contact Rebecca Davis to let her know to expect it in case there are delays in the mail system.
T-shirt and giveaway pick-up will be held September 10 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds at the Clover Café from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention
Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention was designed by Dr. Paul Lam at the Tai Chi for Health Institute, in conjunction with the National Arthritis Foundation. Rebecca Davis was funded by the Ohio Department of Health to provide this class in Tuscarawas County. It is a 16-session series backed by years of research.
