HOW TO GET STARTED IN TUSCARAWAS COUNTY 4-H!

Who can join 4-H?

Eligibility for participation in 4-H projects and competitive events begins when a child is age 8 and in the third grade. We also have a Cloverbud program for younger children that are age 5 and in kindergarten through second grade.

What is there to do in 4-H?

Members select project(s) to explore through club and county activities.  There are more than 200 project areas.

Participate in county-wide educational opportunities, go on field trips and tours, give back to the community by participating in community service projects.

Does it cost anything?

Your out-of-pocket costs will include one or more of the following: Project books - most are $8. Project items - supplies, materials, animals, equipment, etc. Club Dues/Fees - per member fee charged by some clubs to cover the cost of refreshments, club shirt, etc. 4-H Events & Opportunities - fees charged for events such as camps, workshops, trips.
