Betty Howard is the SNAP-Ed Program Assistant for Ohio State University Extension in Tuscarawas County. She is a graduate of Malone University with a BS in Physical Education and Health. Betty's primary area of interest is serving low-income youth, adults, and families. She facilitates voluntary adoption of healthy food and physical activity choices. She is passionate about connecting individuals with resources and nutrition education so that they can live healthier and more productive lives. She previously spent 18 years working with a non-profit agency teaching 4th - 12th grade students healthy behaviors in the areas of dating relationships, alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. She facilitated puberty and bullying discussions as well as coordinated a student-led mentoring group. Betty enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is married to her husband, Jim, and they have an adult son, Jared.
