The 2026 Ohio 4-H Achievement Awards were presented earlier this month at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus. Peyton Vickers from Strasburg received the Dairy Achievement Award. Peyton was also selected to serve as Ohio’s delegate to the National Dairy Conference in Madison, Wisconsin in September.

Peyton, 17, has taken a variety of 4-H projects as a 12-year member, with dairy, nutrition, and community service activities at the center of her efforts. She has served as a camp counselor, on Food and Fashion Board, and Junior Fair Board. Peyton will be a senior this fall and is the daughter of Bryan and Katie Vickers.

Ohio 4-H Achievement Awards are presented annually to individuals for outstanding work in their project area. 33 youth received 2026 honors. The evening was hosted by the Ohio 4-H Foundation. 

Ohio 4-H is the youth development program of Ohio State University Extension, the outreach arm of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. In 2025, over 196,000 Ohio youth participated in clubs, groups, and special interest programs.
