Rebecca DavisThe Tuscarawas County Office of Ohio State University Extension is pleased to announce the hiring of Rebecca Davis as the new Family and Consumer Sciences Educator. Rebecca replaces Christine Kendle, who has transitioned to the Tuscarawas County 4-H Youth Development Educator position.

Rebecca earned her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from The Ohio State University and brings a comprehensive understanding of nutrition, health education, and agriculture. Her academic coursework included nutrition education, medical nutrition therapy, motivational interviewing, public speaking, and nutrition throughout the lifespan. These courses have equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate complex health information to diverse audiences. Additionally, her studies in horticulture, agronomy, and global food and agriculture have broadened her perspectives and will provide a holistic understanding of the factors influencing community well-being.

She has a passion for helping people and is looking forward to serving the county by providing programming with an emphasis on community engagement, education, improving the overall well-being of individuals, and sustainability. Additionally, Rebecca will be assisting with FCS aspects of the Tuscarawas County 4-H program.
