February 23, 2021 - 9:28am -- armstrong.133@o...

The Tuscarawas County office Ohio State University Extension re-opened Monday, February 8 with limited hours.

The hours are as follows: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.; closed noon-1:00 p.m. In keeping with the state mandate, we do require that visitors to our office wear a facial covering. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you do not enter. Due to the small size of our lobby, if you see before entering that someone is in the lobby area, please wait outside until they exit before entering. Staff are primarily teleworking on Mondays and Fridays but can schedule an appointment if needed. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing Kiersten Heckel, heckel.13@osu.edu, for 4-H Youth Development; Chris Kendle, kendle.4@osu.edu for Family and Consumer Sciences; Chris Zoller, zoller.1@osu.edu, for Agriculture and Natural Resources; Renee Clark, clark.471@osu.edu, for Horticulture; and Betty Howard, howard.1629@osu.edu, for SNAP-Ed. Calling to schedule an appointment is also an option; call 330-339-2337 and leave a message to request an appointment. The message will be forwarded to the appropriate person. For faster scheduling, please use email.

Clientele needing to drop off paperwork or registration forms are asked to utilize the locked drop box at the front entrance. An appointment will not be made for this purpose.

The ban on in-person 4-H activities was lifted on January 16 and we returned to the previous limitations (guidelines can be found at https://ohio4h.org/families/stay-connected). All other OSU Extension activities will continue to be held virtually or postponed. Ohio State will continue to evaluate and update plans based on evolving conditions with the pandemic.

Extension employees continue to telework when they are not in the county office. We are following strict guidelines to remain safe and to keep our clientele safe as well. All service sector requirements for general office environments from the Ohio Department of Health will be strictly adhered to in each office.

If you have any questions, please email us or phone 330-339-2337.
