The Tuscarawas County office of Ohio State University Extension will hold a Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification training on Thursday, December 13. The training will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Sugarcreek Livestock Auction Barn.
Wendy’s Restaurant, Tyson Foods, and multiple auctions will require beef and dairy producers to be certified in BQA. Anyone who sells cattle (including dairy) is required to be BQA certified and each person who receives sale checks – even if the cattle come from the same farm – must be certified.
Register for this free program by calling the Tuscarawas County Extension office at 330-339-2337 by December 12.
