Older Youth enjoyed an evening of creative planning and friendly competition at this year's Christmas party at Salem Fellowship Hall in Stone Creek. Working in teams, youth used different food items to create their versions of gingerbread houses. From "haunted" houses to barns and barnyards complete with haybales (and a manure pit!), the final versions showed their imaginative side. They also enjoyed a gift exchange.
4-H Parent Kristy Roudebush donated 13 dozen homemade sugar cookies for the teens to decorate. A small portion was enjoyed at the party while the majority were delivered the following day to the New Philadelphia Police Department, the New Philadelphia Fire Department, the Tuscarawas County Public Library, the Tuscarawas County Commissioners office, and Dan's Wholesale Carpet and Flooring.
